Immigrant secure in forever home

As a national of Belize, he was brought to the United States by his mother when he was 2 years old. 

Since that time, 32 years, he has lived the United States undocumented without legal status. 

Not only could he not work legally, he also could not travel outside of the United States. 

Among the difficulties he has experienced in such circumstances is not being able to have formal employment and maintain job security. 

Now married to a US Citizen, we were able to file a “One-Step” for his Legal Permanent Resident Status. 

His application was approved in July 2022 and for the first time at age 34 he has legal status in the only country he has known as home.
