Restorative Justice

Every day, Catholic Charities' specialty staff in the Midlands shares their gifts by giving back to a community that remains a stigmatized and untouchable population – the incarcerated.

We have a Prison Ministry and Re-entry service team to ensure those who have served their time are able to restore their faith in themselves and choose a second chance at life:

Prison Ministry:
For those who are currently serving inside a prison and wish to be ministered to, bible requests, mass information. We have a full-time chaplain who works with local parishes to coordinate inmate spritual needs. 

Re-entry:
Our impactful pre-release program. We start to refer to inmates as "returning citizens" and help set them up for success into reacclimation into the "real world." We have built strong and productive partnerships with South Carolina Department of Corrections to work inside & outside the walls to make sure returning citizens in our program have their critical documents, secure housing, clothes, and any other unique needs filled prior to release.
